2 years has passed since Polish developer and publisher Techland came out with the much anticipated open-world horror game, Dying Light 2: Stay Human. To celebrate the game’s 2nd anniversary, Techland rolled out a Steam Free Weekend for their new Reloaded Edition.
The Reloaded Edition has been available for players try since February 22. It will end on February 26, giving players just one more day to try out the new zombie experience.
During this, Techland is also offering a 50% discount on Dying Light 2 Stay Human: Reloaded Edition for PC and consoles.
Any progress that players make during the Free Weekend will be carried over when they buy the game.
The Reloaded Edition comes with the Bloody Ties DLC and all of Dying Light 2’s previous updates, including the latest Fire Arms update.
“The Firearms Update is the biggest one this game has seen so far. The possibility of being able to shoot the enemies has been much-requested by the community and adds a brand new dimension to this beloved zombie game,” Techland said in a press release.
The update’s new additions include co-op survivor missions and board quests. Techland also added that the update includes ‘enrichments’ to the narrative that come with the return of characters from Dying Light.
The Firearms Update is free for all owners of the Standard Edition of Dying Light 2 Stay Human.
The updates and new content for Dying Light 2 Stay Human is part of Techland’s to support the game with 5 years post-release content. Since its first release, the Polish developer has released a dozen updates, each bringing significant changes to gameplay.
Just this month, Techland has had a month full of celebrations in a ramp up towards the 2nd anniversary. These include the Year of the Dragon event.
Until March 7, players can still partake in the anniversary festivities such as Special Bounties and other in-game surprises.
Dying Light 2: Stay Human is available on PC, PS5, Xbox Series X, PS4, and Xbox One. Its highest PlayScore is on the PS4 with 8.5.
